You have a board tracking deliverables with due dates and times. You want the assigned person to get a notification the moment their deadline hits — not a vague morning reminder, but a precise "this is due right now" ping.

Monday.com's native notification recipes (like "When date arrives, notify someone") run on a daily schedule. They'll tell you something is due today, but they won't ping you at 15:00 when your 15:00 deadline arrives.

Why native reminders fall short

• Daily batch delivery — notifications arrive in the morning regardless of the actual due time.
• No time awareness — the automation only looks at the date, not the time component.
• No custom message — the built-in notification is generic. You can't include context like "Your client call starts in 0 minutes."

The fix: Precise Triggers + Notify Person action

Precise Triggers reads the full DateTime value from your column and sends a monday.com notification to the person assigned in any People column — at the exact minute.

How to set it up

1. Install Precise Triggers — click below to authorize in your account (10 seconds).

3. Select your date column — the one with the deadline DateTime.
4. Choose "Notify Person" as the action.
5. Write your message — e.g., "Reminder: this item is due now."

When the DateTime arrives, the person assigned to the item gets a monday.com notification in their bell icon and (if enabled) email/mobile push — exactly when it matters.
