monday.com Automation Timing Calculator
Enter when your automation should have fired vs. when it actually did. See the gap and learn how to fix it.
The fix
Why does this happen?
monday.com's "When date arrives" automation runs in a daily batch — typically between 6:00 AM and 8:00 AM in your account timezone. The time stored in your DateTime column is completely ignored. Whether your column says 09:00 or 23:45, the automation fires at roughly the same time every morning.
This isn't a bug — it's how the system was designed. The automation engine scans all boards once per day and processes matching recipes in bulk. Efficient for the platform, but it means you can never fire at a specific hour.
How to get exact-time precision
Precise Triggers is a native monday.com app that fires your action within 30 seconds of the exact DateTime in your column. It pre-schedules each item individually (not a batch scan) and reschedules automatically when dates change.
No Zapier, no Make, no external tools. Install in 10 seconds, create a trigger in 30 seconds.
